Anaphylactic reaction (anaphylactic shock) is a life-threatening allergic reaction that requires immediate emergency intervention. (Click here for more anaphylaxis facts in PDF format.)
Food intolerance, on the other hand, is less serious and severe. It is an inability to process a particular food. It affects the individual’s lifestyle but is not life-threatening.
In accordance with Sabrina’s Law on anaphylaxis in schools and the Toronto District School Board’s requirements, Swansea Public School has developed the Swansea Anaphylaxis Prevention and Management Plan to help ensure a safe learning environment for all its students.
Please, read and get familiar with the above Plan.
