This is Education Week and Children’s Mental Health week 

Please read on to learn what Swansea has planned to address Children’s Mental Health……

It is going to be a mindful spring for the students as a Mindful Meditation Minute will be played over the announcements after lunch each day, beginning the week of May 11th, until the end of the school year. 

Mindful meditation has been found to help children and adolescents improve their concentration and impulse control while decreasing their stress and anxiety. Through this program we hope to make these final restless months of school a more calm and focused time for continued learning, social connection and self-discovery.  Thank-you to parents Katarina Simons and Paulina Derbez and to Green Thoughts meditation teacher Kristen Swanson for introducing this new program to our school!
