Swansea Weekly Update: March 23, 2017

2017 Student and Parent Census
APRIL is the TDSB’s Census Month! This is the third administration of the TDSB’s Student and Parent Census. The success of this third Census relies on full co-operation from school communities in order to ensure a very high participation rate from all students (Grades 4-12) and parents (of JK-Grade 6 students).

This ParentLtr_Ele_March2017_v3should be returned with students for parents who do not want their child to participate in the Student Census — simply fill out the slip attached to the letter and return it to school before April.

Adventures in Wisdom: A life-coaching program for kids
Starting Thursday, March 30, 2017, the next unit of the Adventures in Wisdom coaching program will be offered to students in grades 2-5. One program will run during the lunch hour and one will run after school from 3:15pm – 4:15pm. The content of the two sessions will be the same.

This brand new unit is called DreamPower. During this unit, students will learn how to live the life they want to live by learning how to create a vision, learning how to goal set to achieve their vision and then learning how to create a positive mindset through visualization and affirmations. Students will learn how to make their dreams a reality!

There are just a couple of spots still available in each session. If you are interested in registering your son or daughter in the program, please email Jennifer at jenlordaiw@gmail.com by Saturday, March 25, 2017. The cost of the six-week session, including the student workbook, is $80.00.
