Swansea Public School relies heavily on parent volunteers to activate many of the great experiences and activities that make this school the great school that it is. With an eye to continue to build on this incredible community of supportive families and volunteers, Swansea Parent Council would like to invite all parents who may be interested in getting more involved with their child’s school to join us for a Swansea Parent Volunteer Fair on Tuesday, May 12.
Come out and hear representatives from various volunteer opportunities across a variety of programs, speak. They will give a brief overview of each of their programs, including going over the various volunteer roles available. Opportunities with various levels of commitment will be highlighted in case you are looking for a one-time or project-type activity, or something you can do from home versus in school. There will be opportunities to get involved this spring and/or starting in the new school year come September in a variety of areas of interest.
This is your chance to learn about what exactly it means to help out with QSP, or what would be required of you if you want to help out with pizza days or coach the Scrabble team. Perhaps you have an interest in parent communications or are looking for a one-off opportunity to volunteer at the Craft Sale; well, now is your chance to learn how much time you would need to commit.
Did you enjoy movie day and want to see more activities like this in support of the school? We will also leave time for discussion about new fundraising opportunities you as parents want to bring forward and champion. The presentation will begin at 6:45 p.m. in the School Library. Refreshments will be served. Please contact Amy at email@example.com if you have any questions.
