Over the past few weeks Swansea has had some issues with its boilers, which has caused some classrooms to be quite cold. The TDSB Facilities department has been working with our caretaker to rectify this problem. On Monday they found a valve that was stuck shut and this has now been fixed. We will continue to monitor our heat every morning to make sure our staff and students are safe and warm. Swansea has an Emergency Response Plan and, if necessary, we can quickly evacuate our students. Swansea is an old school so there are draughts and the halls can be cool due to students coming and going. During these cold days students should be wearing layers and a warm sweater or fleece hoodie.
