We want to hear from you!
Plans to build an addition to Swansea Public School have recently been suspended until further notice from the Ministry of Education.
With the recent adjustments to the boundaries of the catchment area, and the implementation of Full Day Kindergarten (FDK) in September 2014, it is anticipated that the student population at Swansea will increase to over 800 students. Swansea is approved to accommodate roughly 530 students, although attendance levels for the past several years have exceeded these guidelines.
How do you think the increase in the student population in 2014 with the implementaion of FDK will affect your child’s experience at Swansea if the school does not get the addition?
Please email your comments (200 words or less) to the school council at email@example.com or you can drop off a written comment for the school council in the main office. Please respond no later than Tuesday, October 30th by 3:15pm. The submissions along with a letter from parent council will be sent to the Minister of Education Laurel Broten.
Thank you for your support on this important initiative.
