Swansea Pub Night is next Friday!

Do you have your tickets yet?  Swansea P.S.’s pub night at Earth restaurant on February 24 is fast approaching.  Buy yours tonight- tickets are on sale at the school in the bell hall during parent-teacher interviews and the Facebook 101 presentation.

Each ticket is $40 and includes a $25 gift card for Earth restaurant.
Proceeds from this event will fund upgrades to the library, gym, music program and IT department.  Don’t delay- buy your tickets today!

West End Scrabble Tournament – volunteers needed!

Swansea is hosting the West End Toronto Scrabble Tournament at the school on Thursday, Feb 23rd.  We need volunteers from 8-9am for set up, 10am-12pm, 12-2pm helping direct, help with snack table, photocopying, and 2-3pm for take down.  Please contact rkheard@rogers.com if you are able to volunteer.

Workshop: Issues Adolescents Struggle With

Join Parkdale parents for an evening workshop with guest speaker Sabrina Gonsalves, school social worker, TDSB.
• The teen years can be a difficult transition for our children. There are many issues that affect them and it can be difficult to know how to support them in dealing with issues such as stress, anxiety, peer relationships, and self‐esteem.
• Presented by Parkdale Collegiate School Council
• Thursday February 23, 2012 at 7:00 P.M.
• Parkdale Collegiate Institute, 209 Jameson Ave in the library
• Light refreshments will be served.
