Terry Fox Update

  • This year the Swansea community contributed $1161.00 to our Terry Fox Run.  Thank you for your generosity in supporting this event.

Growing Success – Report Card Update

This year the reporting format has changed. Students will still receive 3 reports and parents will have the opportunity to meet with teachers to discuss their child’s progress. The first report will be a Progress Report rather than a formal report card.  In February and June formal report cards will sent home. For more information: GS TDSB Report Card

Progress Reports will be sent home on Monday, November 15 and Parent Teacher Interviews will be Thursday, November 18 (evening) and Friday, November 19 (morning).  Further details will be provided in November.

Thanksgiving is a time for us to reflect on all that we have to be thankful for – we live in a democratic peaceful country, we have an abundance of food to eat, our children have the opportunity to attend a well funded public education system.  Wishing the Swansea community a Happy Thanksgiving.

Cottage Dreams is a charity I have been involved in for over 5 years.  Cottages are donated to cancer survivors so that they can spend a week with their families away from the everyday stresses of life and celebrate recovery.  There are still cottages available up until December or for next summer, so if you know of a cancer survivor who could use some downtime at a cottage they may contact Cottage Dreams at 416-763-2009 or
