Swansea Craft Sale

Thank you to everyone who came out to support our 17th Annual Craft Sale.  Special thanks to Karey Heard for organizing this event, all the volunteers who helped out – baking, setting and cleaning up, running the kitchen, selling raffle tickets and admission tickets and all the other multitude of tasks that made this day such a success and to Doug and Val, our wonderful caretaking staff, who looked after us all day. Thanks also to the alumni who returned to help out – it is always wonderful to have our graduates back.  It was truly an amazing community event – we raised money for both Swansea PS and for the families in need in our community.

Thanks to everyone who donated baked goods to the bake sale. It was a big success! If you left any containers that you would like back, you can pick them up in the community centre kitchen.

Student Census

The TDSB is conducting a Student Census on November 25th for students in grade 7 – 12.  Swansea students will be completing this survey  in the morning on November 25th.  The purpose of this census is to help the TDSB find out who the students are and how they feel about their lives in school and outside of school.  They will use this information to build a better school system that will improve the chances of success for all students in all schools.  Information booklets were be sent home at the beginning of this week.

An information letter will be coming home shortly for students who are performing in this concert.

Birthdays

Every child’s birthday is always a special event but we need to balance these celebrations with the daily academic program in each class. If you wish to send food to celebrate your child’s birthday please discuss this with his/her teacher PRIOR to the day to ensure that this does not interrupt the daily program. Please remember that all food must be nut free.
