Swansea will be hosting the Roots of Empathy program this year. This is a program that focuses on building empathy with students, through discussion and visits with a neighbourhood infant and parent. We are looking for a family who would be willing to participate in this program. This would involve mom/dad and infant (2 – 4 months old) visiting our class once a month (Monday), throughout this year. If you are interested in participating please contact Karen.email@example.com for further information.
The Safe and Caring Schools Committee will be conducting a safety audit of Swansea PS. We will be evaluating both the interior and exterior of our building to look for areas where we can improve the safety of our environment. A report will be presented at the next School Council meeting – Wednesday, November 21st.
Progress Reports/Parent Teacher Interviews
Progress Reports will be sent home on Monday, November 12th.
Parent teacher interviews will be held on Friday, November 16th. Information about booking an interview time will be included with your child’s progress report.
Parents can arrange to meet with their child’s teacher anytime during regular school hours if they have concerns about their child’s progress. You may write a note in your child’s agenda or call the office and leave a message for a teacher.
