Winter Concert

Thank you to everyone who helped support our Winter Concert – Hold On To Your Dreams at Windermere United Church on Tuesday night. The strings and band were wonderful, the ace recorders were great and the choirs were amazing.  Thank you Mrs. West for another memorable performance.

Holiday Fund

The holiday season is approaching and we know that this can be a very difficult time in the lives of many of our families.  Many years ago we established a Holiday Fund so that parents who need financial assistance during this time will be able to access funds.  This year is no exception.  Our Holiday Fund will be able to offer gift certificates to families in need so that they can provide something special for their children who attend Swansea Public School.

If you would like to participate in this program, or know of someone who could use some support over the holidays, please call the school at 416-393-9082 Extension 20005, and leave a message for Mary White.   All inquiries will be treated with confidentiality.

Tree of Giving

The holiday season is a time when we celebrate our culture and traditions, many of which include supporting our neighbours who are less fortunate.

Swansea School has chosen to support our community through a Christmas Tree of Giving.  This will be outside the office and people may make donations if they wish.

The charities we are supporting this year are: Free the Children, LAMP Toy Drive

Thank you for your support of our community and we wish you all the best in this holiday season.

Milk Program

Our milk program is returning in January 2012.  Order forms will be sent home this week and must be returned by Friday, December 9th.  White and chocolate milk will be available every Monday and Wednesday at a cost of $20.00 for 6 months.  Subsidies are available for families who can not afford this program – please talk to your child’s teacher or the office staff.
