Change the Conversation: Helping Kids to Thrive with Restorative Practice

Frustrated with your usual responses to conflict and misbehaviour? Tired of all the blaming, yelling and arguing? Wondering whether there are better ways to problem-solve and foster a more positive, respectful and caring environment?   Then come out and learn about Restorative Practice, a non-blaming, relationship-focused approach to resolving conflict, addressing wrongdoing, and promoting healthy relationships. Dr. Alison Williams, an ethicist and restorative practice facilitator (and mother of 2 children at Swansea!) will offer an engaging look into what restorative practice is all about, the impact it has had on students and classrooms based on her volunteer work at Swansea Public School, and will provide useful ways to incorporate restorative practice into your interactions with your kids at home.
