This year’s Craft Sale was a wonderfully successful event that included 75 vendors/tables, 20th themed totes and tattoos, the “selfie station”, a visit from Santa, cake cutting with Councillor Sarah Doucette and Principal Salvarinas, Art in Action crafts on stage, lots of delicious baked goods, and beautifully handmade snowflakes. Over 800 people attended and we made about $6,000 for the school! Admission tickets earned over $1,300 which will go to the Holiday Fund to buy gift cards for parents who need financial assistance this holiday season.
Thank you Craft Sale Team organizers – Karey Heard, Alison Logue, Rose de Rose, Rapee Vattanakul, Jen Shragge, Sylvia Chong, Kate Manson, Symantha Rush, Virginia Wheeler, Medrian Yueh, and Kimberley Wakefield. Thanks to Craft Sale helpers who lent their specialized talents – Sean Purvis, Rob Hamilton, and James Rothney.
A HUGE thanks to all the parents, staff and community members who volunteered at the various stations, donated baked goods or prizes, bought raffle tickets, cooked/served hot dogs, etc. A special thank you goes out to all the senior students who helped during the sale, or delivered flyers. The vendors were so impressed the quality of the show, and with the efforts of our students and volunteers. Way to go Swansea!
Parent Council would like to add a HUGE thank you to the wonderful, organized, upbeat and hard-working Chairperson of the Craft Sale, Karey Heard. Karey has organized the Craft Sale for many years, and has grown it into a huge community event and fundraiser that we all look forward to every year. THANK YOU KAREY!!!
